EmVisionary Grants to Expand Non-Profit Impact
Overview
EmVision Productions is a queer, woman of color-led social impact media agency that helps visionary organizations convey how they are changing the world. Our EmVisionary Grants is a way that we give forward. Launched in fall 2020, this yearly collaboration is designed to benefit small, local non-profit organizations in Greater Boston led by people of color.
Approach
In this unique yearly collaboration, we partner with 1-2 EmVisionary Grantees over 6-9 months, and mentor talented, under-represented filmmakers alongside us, to craft a 2.5-minute mission and impact video (a $30,000 value) to further these organizations’ growth and these creatives’ careers. For 2025, we are teaming up with Women in Film & Video New England’s Director Shadowing Program to mentor an emerging filmmaker. While our team donates their expertise and time to the EmVisionary Grants, these collaborations have a sliding scale contribution to cover the trainee filmmakers’ time and associated project costs (see details below).
Eligibility
We encourage you to apply if you meet our intentional criteria (see details below). We always encourage past applicants / finalists to re-apply. EmVision clients (past or present) are not eligible. If you don't meet this criteria and want to work with EmVision to tell your organization's story, let's chat.
For questions, contact Tanais Garcia.
